Meeting Summary by Amy McLaughlin
On November 20th, 2020, the WEDGE program hosted an interdisciplinary webinar entitled, “A Conversation on Measuring Social Norms and Women’s Empowerment.” An exciting panel with experts from many different fields engaged with the following questions:
- How do different disciplines address measurement of social norms?
- Should norms be measured at the level of individuals or institutions/communities?
- Are norms regarding gendered behaviors about gender or about something else (e.g. social class or religious identity)?
- Do public policies have a role in changing gender norms?
We are sharing with you the presentations made during the session via the WEDGE You Tube Channel. Please follow the links below: |
